This is a 2-3 weeks residency at Ozina Camp running from November - April aimed for artists with children. You and your accompanying family will be lodged in a private yurt directly on our farm. During your residency, you will work independently on your new or existing projects, with access to consultations. The outcome should be in a broader art context. Artists from all backgrounds, fields of study and practice are welcome to apply. If you are interested, please send us a brief motivation via our contact form.
There is a significant lack of structures that support artist-parents, and family-oriented residencies remain rare, despite the fact that many artists navigate caregiving alongside their creative practice.
We embrace this reality not as a limitation, but as a fertile ground for rethinking how we live, work, and create. This perspective feels both radical and necessary.
We are deeply drawn to the possibility of inhabiting a place where artistic practice, education, and family life are not separated, but allowed to intertwine and enrich one another.
A place where daily life, land, labor, and creative work form a continuous and living ecology.
The emphasis on shared rhythms, material attentiveness, and a slower, more intentional way of living resonates strongly with our values and our understanding of artistic practice — not as isolated production, but as something rooted in time, care, and presence.
For us, this residency is not a retreat, but a shared encounter: an ongoing dialogue with place and community, grounded in exchange, attentiveness, and mutual contribution.
